Savannah, Georgia 2021

Hello, lovelies! How has everyone been? I am so sorry for my absence! Life has been so, so busy lately and I've definitely not been able to blog consistently. I really miss it and am in the process of developing a better defined work/life balance. Hopefully that will free up some of my time!

Additionally, I recently had the opportunity to take a short trip to Savannah, Georgia to celebrate the completion of my master's degree earlier this year. While the trip had been a bit delayed, in ended up working out perfectly time-wise as I had several days in a row off from work already built into my schedule. It was such a lovely experience! I had traveled through Savannah in the past, but had never really had the opportunity to explore or actually visit the city.

I had brunch at a lovely restaurant called Belford's (pictured above), and it was delicious! I had a charcuterie entrée which was so yummy! Definitely would recommend it if you're in the area!

I was also able to visit this adorable candy store near the city center. They had so many different types of candies, as well as homemade taffy and caramel apples. I purchased a caramel apple and it was divine. They also had a huge wall of candy - certainly tempting!

The shopping was also a big perk during my trip! While exploring, I found the most adorable bath and body care shop called Nourish. They had handmade products like shower steamers, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and lotions. You know I had to stock up! They were also kind enough to throw in a soap sample with my purchase. Check out the mini haul:

Savannah was truly a fun city to explore! The night life was definitely busy during the weekend nights, so I preferred exploring in the evenings during the weekdays. I found a beautiful river walk, and some gorgeous old architecture.

Overall, the trip was so lovely! It was nice to get away from everyday stressors for a few days, especially in such a beautiful place! I can't wait to go back another time and explore ever more. Also, on the way home, I absolutely had to stop at a local vendor called Georgia Peach World. They carry tons of different peach-based products (jams, jellies, lotions, teas, etc.). It was such a cool little place to stop by!

After this trip, I honestly can't wait to start planning another once things regarding the pandemic start to get better. (I do want to note that I am fully vaccinated and wore masks during this trip.) Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back!

What have you all been up to lately? Let me know in the comments!
